In Pixar’s Cars 3, which actor voices the new racer Jackson Storm?

Armie Hammer voices Jackson Storm in Pixar’s Cars 3.

Jackson Storm is the film’s technologically advanced racing challenger. He belongs to a younger generation of competitors trained with modern simulation, analytics, and high-performance engineering. His victories create the central crisis for Lightning McQueen, who must decide how to respond to a sport changing faster than he expected.

Hammer’s voice performance gives Storm a controlled, self-assured tone that contrasts with McQueen’s more expressive personality. Owen Wilson voices McQueen, while Cristela Alonzo voices Cruz Ramirez, the trainer who becomes increasingly important to the story. Michael Caine voices Finn McMissile in Cars 2, not Storm.

Cars 3 premiered in 2017 and was directed by Brian Fee. The film’s racing story draws attention to the relationship between new technology and accumulated experience. Storm is therefore more than a physical opponent: he represents the pressure placed on established champions by rapid generational change.
