In Pixar’s Cars 3, what is the name of the track where the final race takes place?

The story behind the answer

The final race in Pixar’s Cars 3 takes place at the Florida International Super Speedway.

The fictional circuit hosts the climactic Florida 500, where Lightning McQueen returns to compete against the younger, technologically advanced racer Jackson Storm. The race is the final event of the film’s main competitive storyline and brings together Lightning’s experience, Cruz Ramirez’s training, and the legacy of Doc Hudson.

Lightning begins the film struggling to keep pace with a new generation of racers. After a crash and an unsuccessful training program, he works with Cruz and studies Doc’s racing history. At the Florida 500, Lightning changes strategy and gives Cruz the opportunity to race in his place.

The speedway is fictional, so it should not be confused with Daytona International Speedway or another real Florida circuit. The film’s earlier major training location, the Thomasville dirt track, is also separate from the final-race venue.
