In Pixar’s Cars 2, which villainous scientist is known as Professor Z?

Professor Z is the nickname of Professor Zündapp, the villainous scientist in Pixar’s Cars 2.

Professor Zündapp is a small German scientist who helps organize the plot involving the World Grand Prix. He works with the film’s conspirators to make Allinol fuel appear dangerous, manipulating events so that the public will reject alternative fuel and return to petroleum-based energy.

The character’s name is a reference to the German motorcycle manufacturer Zündapp. Like many Cars characters, he is designed as a vehicle-inspired personality rather than a human figure. His design and accent help identify him as part of the international spy-thriller style of the sequel.
