In Pixar's Cars 2, Miles Axlerod is the former oil tycoon who becomes the main villain.

Axlerod presents himself as an environmentally minded billionaire and the organizer of the World Grand Prix. He promotes Allinol, a supposedly clean alternative fuel, and uses the international race as a global demonstration for it.

His public identity hides a major secret: Axlerod was once the notorious outlaw car known as Zündapp. He plans to discredit Allinol and provoke hostility toward alternative fuel by using a device that makes cars running on it explode when exposed to electromagnetic pulses.
