In Pixar's Cars 2, which character secretly masterminds the conspiracy involving Allinol?

Sir Miles Axlerod secretly masterminds the Allinol conspiracy in Pixar's Cars 2.

Axlerod presents himself as a former electric car and the organizer of the World Grand Prix. He promotes Allinol as an alternative fuel and uses the race to advertise it to a global audience.

The spy plot eventually reveals that Axlerod is behind the scheme. He plans to make Allinol appear dangerous by causing cars using it to malfunction, then benefit from the resulting public reaction. His apparent environmental and sporting interests conceal the film's central villainous plan.

Professor Zündapp works as an important operative in the conspiracy, while Finn McMissile and Holley Shiftwell investigate it. Because Zündapp is visibly involved in many action scenes, he is often mistaken for the mastermind. The full name is styled as Sir Miles Axlerod.
