In Pixar’s Cars 2, which character is the secret spy partnered with Mater?

In Pixar’s Cars 2, Finn McMissile is the secret spy partnered with Mater.

Finn is a British intelligence agent who investigates a conspiracy surrounding the World Grand Prix and the fuel called Allinol. He initially mistakes Mater for an undercover American agent, but Mater becomes involved in the mission and helps uncover the plot.

Finn’s design draws on classic British spy-car imagery, including the grand-tourer style associated with James Bond films. His gadgets, concealed weapons, and formal manner contrast with Mater’s rusty tow-truck appearance and comic personality. Holley Shiftwell is another British intelligence agent, but she works with Finn rather than being his partner in the same role.

Miles Axlerod is the former oil baron connected to the conspiracy, while Rod Redline is an American agent. Neither is Finn’s spy partner, making their names plausible but incorrect alternatives.
