Sir Miles Axlerod is secretly the mastermind behind the Allinol plot in Pixar’s Cars 2.
Axlerod presents himself as a former oil baron who has become an environmental campaigner. He organizes the World Grand Prix to demonstrate Allinol, a fuel advertised as a clean energy source. Behind that public image, however, he is connected to the attacks designed to make the fuel look dangerous.
The plan relies on electromagnetic weapons that cause cars using Allinol to malfunction. The goal is to discredit alternative fuel and restore dependence on petroleum. Mater, Finn McMissile, and Holley Shiftwell gradually uncover the conspiracy.
Cars 2 was Pixar’s second feature film centered on the Cars characters and was released in 2011. Professor Zündapp is an accomplice, not the mastermind; Finn McMissile is a British spy investigating the scheme; and Rod “Torque” Redline is an American agent caught in the opening events.
