In Pixar’s Cars 2, British spy car Finn McMissile partners with Mater to investigate the World Grand Prix conspiracy.
Finn is an intelligence agent who mistakes Mater for an American spy after seeing him near a secret operation. Mater becomes involved despite having no formal spy training, while Finn initially underestimates him because of his unconventional behavior.
Holley Shiftwell, another British intelligence agent, also works on the mission and develops a relationship with Mater. Together, the agents uncover the scheme involving the lemons, Allinol fuel, and electromagnetic weapons.
Finn McMissile is designed as a tribute to classic British espionage vehicles, especially the gadget-equipped cars associated with spy films. He is distinct from Sir Miles Axlerod, whose public image as a fuel advocate conceals his role in the conspiracy.
