In Pixar’s Cars 2, what is the name of Mater’s British spy partner and love interest?

In Pixar’s Cars 2, Mater’s British spy partner and love interest is Holley Shiftwell.

Holley Shiftwell is an intelligence agent stationed in Tokyo who works with Finn McMissile. She initially believes Mater may be an undercover American agent, because Finn’s mistaken assumption places him inside the investigation. Holley then equips Mater with spy technology and helps him uncover the Allinol conspiracy.

The character combines the appearance of a sleek British sports car with the equipment of a modern field operative. Her gadgets include communications and surveillance tools that support the film’s action-comedy plot. She also helps Mater gain confidence as events become increasingly dangerous.

Holley is voiced by Emily Mortimer. She is distinct from Sally Carrera, Lightning McQueen’s partner in Radiator Springs, and from the minor characters Mia and Tia, who are twin fans of Lightning. Holley appears specifically in Cars 2 rather than the main story of Cars 3.
