In Pixar’s Cars 2, the World Grand Prix promotes Allinol as an alternative energy source.
Allinol is presented as a clean alternative fuel developed for the participating race cars. Its public image is central to the World Grand Prix, which is organized partly to demonstrate that cars can compete using alternative energy.
The film’s espionage plot reveals that the fuel’s promotion conceals a dangerous plan involving electromagnetic pulses and modified engines. Allinol is therefore both a racing technology and a major plot device. It should not be confused with Rust-eze, Lightning McQueen’s sponsor, or Dinoco, the prestigious fictional racing brand from the wider franchise.
