In Pixar's Cars 2, Allinol is the fuel brand secretly used in the plot to target racers.
Allinol is marketed as a clean alternative fuel and is supplied to competitors in the World Grand Prix. After racers using it suffer dangerous engine failures, Mater notices that the incidents are connected. The secret plan uses electromagnetic pulses to trigger problems in engines containing Allinol, creating public fear about alternative fuel and protecting oil interests.
The plot is ultimately revealed as a conspiracy involving Professor Zündapp, the lemons, and Miles Axlerod. Axlerod presents himself as an environmental-minded organizer, but his identity and motives are part of the deception. Mater's accidental discovery makes him the key investigator even though he initially believes he is only helping a British spy.
Allinol is fictional and should not be confused with Dinoco, the long-running fictional petroleum brand in the Cars universe, or Rust-eze, McQueen's racing sponsor. The fuel mystery is central to Cars 2's spy-thriller structure.
