In "Parks and Recreation", which actress plays the deadpan intern April Ludgate?

In “Parks and Recreation,” Aubrey Plaza plays the deadpan intern April Ludgate.

April begins the series as a college student interning in Pawnee’s Department of Parks and Recreation. She speaks in a blasé, sarcastic tone and often appears bored by everyone around her. Her indifference is partly a comic performance: beneath it, April develops strong loyalties to Leslie Knope, Ron Swanson, and the people in her life.

Ron eventually hires April as his assistant, giving her a workplace relationship built on shared cynicism and an unusual lack of emotional openness. She later takes on new responsibilities, including work in animal control and regional affairs. Her romance with Andy Dwyer becomes one of the show’s major relationship arcs, and the two marry during an improvised wedding in season three.

Aubrey Plaza’s portrayal turned April into a breakout character associated with millennial skepticism and dry humor. A common mix-up is treating April as simply apathetic; the series gradually reveals that her sarcasm often masks ambition, affection, and a strong desire to find meaningful work.
