In "Parks and Recreation," Megan Mullally plays Ron Swanson’s manipulative second ex-wife, Tammy Two.
Tammy Swanson, commonly called Tammy Two, is the second of Ron’s ex-wives, and she is portrayed as an unusually dangerous influence on him. Unlike Ron’s normally controlled and stoic personality, Tammy can provoke intense emotional and physical chaos whenever she reappears.
Tammy is also the director of the Pawnee Library, an institution Leslie Knope and the Parks Department routinely despise. She first appears in the Season 2 episode "Ron and Tammy," where she tries to manipulate Ron into helping the library acquire land Leslie wants for a park. Their destructive attraction repeatedly overwhelms Ron’s judgment.
Mullally’s casting added an extra layer of comic chemistry: she is Nick Offerman’s real-life wife, and Offerman plays Ron. Tammy returns in several later episodes, including "Ron & Tammy: Part Two," where she and Ron briefly remarry before divorcing again. A common mix-up is confusing Tammy Two with Tammy One, Ron’s first ex-wife, played by Patricia Clarkson.
