In Neil Gaiman’s The Graveyard Book, the boy raised by ghosts is Nobody Owens.
Nobody Owens, usually called Bod, becomes the ward of a graveyard after his family is murdered. The supernatural residents protect and educate him while he grows up among the dead.
The name “Nobody” comes from the fact that the ghosts do not know who he is when he first arrives. It also gives the story its distinctive blend of mystery, humor, and folklore.
Silas is Bod’s guardian and a major supernatural figure, but he is not the boy himself. Jack is the name associated with the man pursuing Bod, while Dalloway is not Bod’s surname.
