In Lost, the episode centered on Nikki and Paulo’s apparent deaths is titled “Exposé.”
“Exposé” is a third-season episode that tells much of its story through flashbacks involving Nikki Fernandez and Paulo. Their past includes criminal activity and a connection to a television producer, while their present-day storyline places them among the survivors on the island.
The episode’s central twist is that Nikki is bitten by a Medusa spider and becomes paralyzed. Paulo believes she is dead, and Nikki later appears to die after being buried alive. The survivors mistake her condition for death because the venom temporarily immobilizes her.
“Exposé” is notable for revealing the hidden activities of two characters who had been present in earlier episodes without receiving much focus. The title references the investigative television program associated with Nikki’s past.
