In Lost, what was the first name of Mr. Eko?
Answer
Eko
Answer
Eko
Mr. Eko’s first name in Lost is Eko.
The character is generally known as Mr. Eko, a Nigerian survivor of Oceanic Flight 815. Before reaching the island, he became a Catholic priest after a violent and complicated past that included his brother Yemi and the political turmoil of Nigeria.
Eko’s religious identity and moral struggle make him one of the show’s most distinctive survivors. He carries a carved wooden stick covered with Bible quotations and initially refuses to discuss much of his past with the other survivors.
The name “Mr. Eko” can cause confusion because viewers may remember Yemi, the character’s brother, or Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, the actor who played him. Eko is the character’s first name; Mr. is part of the form by which he is usually addressed.
