In Lost, what instrument did Charlie Pace play in the band Drive Shaft?

In Lost, Charlie Pace played bass guitar in the band Drive Shaft.

Charlie was the band’s bassist before Oceanic Flight 815 crashed on the island. Drive Shaft was a fictional British rock group formed with Charlie’s brother Liam. The band achieved a hit with “You All Everybody,” which becomes an important piece of Charlie’s backstory and identity.

Charlie’s musical career is shown through flashbacks that explore his relationship with Liam, his drug addiction, and the band’s rise and decline. On the island, his guitar and musical talent remain important parts of his character. He also forms a close relationship with Claire Littleton and becomes involved in protecting her and her baby.

Charlie is sometimes mistakenly described as Drive Shaft’s guitarist because he is frequently shown with a guitar. In the band’s established lineup, however, Charlie is the bassist, while his brother Liam is the lead singer and guitarist.
