In Leigh Bardugo’s Shadow and Bone, what is the name of Alina Starkov’s power?

In Leigh Bardugo’s Shadow and Bone, Alina Starkov’s power is Sun Summoning.

Alina discovers that she can call and shape light, making her a rare Grisha known as a Sun Summoner. Her ability becomes especially important because darkness and monsters dominate the Shadow Fold.

The power places Alina at the center of Ravka’s military and political hopes. It also explains why powerful leaders seek to control or protect her as the conflict surrounding the Fold intensifies.

Sun Summoning is distinct from the abilities of other Grisha orders. The Second Army includes Corporalki, who manipulate bodies, and Etherealki, who control natural elements such as wind, water, and fire.
