In Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, what is the name of Indiana Jones’s son?

The story behind the answer

In Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Indiana Jones’s son is named Mutt Williams.

Mutt is introduced as a motorcycle-riding young man who asks Jones to help locate the missing Professor Harold Oxley. His birth name is Henry Jones III, but he uses the name Mutt Williams because he was raised by his mother, Marion Ravenwood, and initially does not know Jones is his father.

The film is set in 1957, placing it during the Cold War rather than the pre-World War II period of the first three movies. Mutt’s story therefore introduces a younger generation to the series while Soviet agents replace the Nazis as the principal human antagonists.

Shia LaBeouf played Mutt, and Karen Allen returned as Marion. By the film’s conclusion, Mutt’s parentage is fully acknowledged and his family connection to Indiana becomes an important part of the ending.
