In Greek mythology, who brought Pandora to Epimetheus after the gods created her?

The story behind the answer

In Greek mythology, Hermes brought Pandora to Epimetheus after the gods created her.

Hermes serves as the messenger and escort in the Pandora story. After Zeus orders her creation and the gods contribute their gifts, Hermes leads or delivers Pandora to Epimetheus, the brother of Prometheus. Epimetheus accepts her despite the warning that Prometheus had given him about accepting gifts from Zeus.

Hesiod's description of Hermes's contribution also associates him with giving Pandora a deceptive or unreliable mind and a persuasive voice. These traits reinforce the story's theme that her appearance and gifts conceal danger.

Hermes is not the craftsman who forms Pandora, and he is not the god who orders the plan. Hephaestus makes her, Zeus commands the punishment, and Hermes carries out the delivery. Keeping those roles separate avoids one of the most common summary-level confusions in the myth.
