Ross and Rachel’s daughter in Friends is named Emma.
Emma Geller-Green is born in the eighth season after Ross and Rachel’s unexpected pregnancy. Rachel gives birth in the season-eight finale, “The One Where Rachel Has a Baby, Part 2,” and the baby becomes an important part of their continuing relationship.
Ross and Rachel are not married when Emma is born, but they share parental responsibilities. Their changing romantic status remains a recurring source of comedy and emotional conflict in the final two seasons. Emma also links Rachel’s life as a new mother with Ross’s earlier experience raising Ben.
The name is sometimes confused with Emily Waltham, Ross’s second wife, or Erica, the birth mother of Monica and Chandler’s adopted twins. Emma was portrayed by twins Noelle and Cali Sheldon in the series’ later episodes.
