In Forbidden Planet, what is the name of the robot who serves Dr. Morbius?

In Forbidden Planet, the robot who serves Dr. Morbius is Robby the Robot.

Robby is stationed on the planet Altair IV, where he assists Morbius, his daughter Altaira, and the visiting crew of the starship C-57D. He can speak, follow complex instructions, manufacture objects, and operate equipment, making him far more capable than a simple mechanical servant.

The character is often remembered for his distinctive domed body, transparent chest compartment, and mechanical voice. Although Robby is helpful, the film also uses him to explore the boundaries between programmed obedience, intelligence, and dangerous technology.

Forbidden Planet was released in 1956 by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. Robby became one of the defining movie robots of the 1950s and later appeared in other films and television programs.
