In Donkey Kong 64, what is the name of the world that is a giant factory?
Answer
Frantic Factory
Answer
Frantic Factory
In Donkey Kong 64, the giant factory world is called Frantic Factory.
Frantic Factory is one of the game’s eight themed worlds and represents an enormous industrial complex filled with machinery, production floors, conveyor belts, clockwork hazards, and factory-themed challenges. Its boss is Mad Jack, a mechanical, spring-loaded enemy fought in a room of elevated platforms.
The level’s industrial setting contrasts with worlds such as Jungle Japes, which is tropical, Gloomy Galleon, which is underwater and maritime, and Fungi Forest, which is a woodland area with day-and-night changes. Those names are common mix-ups because all are major areas in the same game.
Frantic Factory also contains a playable version of the original 1981 Donkey Kong arcade game. Completing that arcade challenge is important: the first completion awards a Golden Banana, while a later completion provides the Nintendo Coin needed for progression. Donkey Kong 64 was developed by Rare and released for Nintendo 64 in 1999.
