In Disney's The Princess and the Frog, Tiana's childhood friend and wealthy socialite is Charlotte La Bouff.
Charlotte, often called Lottie, is the daughter of Eli “Big Daddy” La Bouff, a wealthy New Orleans resident. She grows up alongside Tiana and remains enthusiastic, generous, and determined to find a prince to marry.
Charlotte's father hosts a masquerade ball after Prince Naveen arrives in New Orleans. Her connection to the prince sets the story's central mix-up in motion: the frog prince encounters Tiana while she is wearing a princess costume, but kissing him transforms her into a frog instead.
Charlotte is voiced in English by Jennifer Cody. A common mistake is identifying Tiana's mother, Eudora, as her friend. Eudora is a dressmaker and an important influence on Tiana, but Charlotte is Tiana's longtime friend from a much wealthier family.
