In Disney's The Nightmare Before Christmas, which character sings the opening song 'This Is Halloween'?

The citizens of Halloween Town sing the opening song “This Is Halloween” in Disney’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.

The number introduces the setting through a series of ensemble voices, presenting Halloween Town’s customs, residents, and spooky celebrations. Although Jack Skellington is the film’s central character and has prominent solo songs, he does not sing the entire opening number alone.

Danny Elfman wrote the music and lyrics and also provided Jack’s singing voice. The film was directed by Henry Selick and produced by Tim Burton. Because Elfman is so strongly associated with the soundtrack, some summaries identify him as the performer; technically, the opening is an ensemble performance by the town’s inhabitants.
