In Disney's Tarzan, Phil Collins wrote and performed the film's songs.

Collins created the songs for the 1999 animated film and recorded versions in English and several other languages. His music helps connect Tarzan's life in the jungle with the human world represented by Jane and her father.

The best-known song is “You'll Be in My Heart,” which Collins performs during the film and over the end credits. It won the Academy Award and Golden Globe for Best Original Song. Collins also won the Grammy Award for Best Song Written Specifically for a Motion Picture or for Television. The film's orchestral score was composed separately by Mark Mancina.
