In Disney's Frozen, Elsa's signature song about embracing her powers is “Let It Go.”
The song is performed by Elsa after she leaves Arendelle and builds an ice palace in the mountains. Its lyrics describe her decision to stop concealing her magical abilities and to live independently. Idina Menzel provided Elsa's original English singing voice.
Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez wrote “Let It Go” for Frozen. The song became one of Disney's most recognizable modern musical numbers and was released in numerous language versions around the world.
A common mix-up is “Into the Unknown,” which is Elsa's major solo in Frozen II. “Show Yourself” is another important Elsa song, but it appears later in the sequel.
