In Disney’s Frozen II, which group of people lives in the Enchanted Forest?

In Disney’s Frozen II, the Northuldra live in the Enchanted Forest.

The Northuldra are an Indigenous-inspired community whose home is trapped behind a magical mist after the conflict between Arendelle and the forest’s people. Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, Olaf, and Sven enter the forest to discover why elemental spirits are disturbing Arendelle.

The Northuldra are led by Yelana, and their culture is presented through reindeer herding, close relationships with nature, and traditional clothing and practices. Frozen II also reveals that Queen Iduna was Northuldra before becoming part of Arendelle’s royal family.

The Northuldra should not be confused with Arendelle’s soldiers, who were also trapped in the forest after the battle. The story ultimately connects the two groups through the past actions of their ancestors.
