In Disney’s Frozen II, the glacier where Elsa discovers the truth about the past is Ahtohallan.
Ahtohallan is presented as a magical river or glacier that preserves memories of events. Elsa reaches it after following the mysterious voice that calls her from Arendelle. Within its ice, she sees visions explaining the conflict between Arendelle and the Northuldra and learns the truth about her parents’ journey.
The location is central to Frozen II’s investigation plot. It gives Elsa information that cannot be found through ordinary conversation or historical records, while also reinforcing the film’s recurring connection between memory, water, and ice.
Ahtohallan is not the same location as the North Mountain, where Elsa builds her first ice palace in Frozen. It is also distinct from the Enchanted Forest, the larger magical setting where the trapped soldiers and Northuldra live.
