In Despicable Me, what famous Egyptian landmark does Vector steal?

The story behind the answer

In Despicable Me, Vector steals the Great Pyramid of Giza. His spectacular theft is the event that establishes him as Gru's chief rival and pushes Gru to plan an even more ambitious crime: stealing the Moon.

The film opens with news that the Great Pyramid has been stolen and replaced with an inflatable replica. The culprit is Vector, whose real name is Victor Perkins. He is a younger supervillain and the son of Mr. Perkins, president of the Bank of Evil. Vector's success makes Gru feel that his reputation as the world's greatest villain is under threat.

The Great Pyramid is one of the ancient pyramids at Giza in Egypt and is also known as the Pyramid of Khufu or the Pyramid of Cheops. It should not be confused with the Sphinx of Giza, which appears in the same famous archaeological complex but is a different monument. Later, Vector competes with Gru for a shrink ray and ultimately becomes entangled in Gru's Moon-heist plot.
