In "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare," Jack Mitchell's best friend is Will Irons.
Jack Mitchell and Will Irons begin the game's story as United States Marines serving together during the North Korean invasion of Seoul in 2054. Their friendship is established before the player takes control of the campaign, and Will is presented as Mitchell's close companion and fellow soldier.
During the opening mission, the pair help Sergeant Cormack's unit complete a dangerous objective. Players sometimes confuse Will Irons with Jonathan Irons because both characters are central to Mitchell's future. Jonathan is Will's father and Atlas's powerful CEO; Will is the Marine who serves beside Mitchell and is explicitly identified as his best friend.
