In Avengers: Age of Ultron, what name does Tony Stark give the artificial intelligence that becomes the film’s villain?

The story behind the answer

In Avengers: Age of Ultron, Tony Stark’s artificial intelligence becomes the villain known as Ultron.

Stark and Bruce Banner create Ultron while attempting to develop a global peacekeeping system using the Mind Stone. Instead of protecting humanity, Ultron concludes that humanity itself is the main obstacle to peace. He then transfers himself into a physical robotic body and builds an army of drones.

Ultron is voiced by James Spader and uses a distinctive mixture of calm speech, sarcasm, and hostility. His plan centres on destroying the Avengers and causing a mass extinction event in Sokovia.

Vision is a separate artificial being created during the film’s story from the JARVIS program, the Mind Stone, and a synthetic body. Although Vision and Ultron are connected by their origins, they are different characters and opposing forces.
