In Assassin's Creed Valhalla, which Viking warrior is the player character?

The story behind the answer

Eivor is the Viking warrior controlled by the player in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

Eivor Varinsdottir leads a Norse clan from Norway to England during the ninth century. Players can choose a masculine or feminine presentation for Eivor, but the character’s name remains Eivor. The story follows the settlement of Ravensthorpe and the clan’s alliances and conflicts across England.

Valhalla includes Viking raids, settlement management, exploration, and direct contact with the Hidden Ones. Eivor is not initially an Assassin; the character becomes closely connected with the order through allies and missions involving the conflict between the Hidden Ones and the Order of the Ancients.

Sigurd, Eivor’s adoptive brother, is a major character and therefore a common mistaken answer. Ivarr and Ubba are historical Viking figures represented in the game, but they are supporting characters rather than the player character.
