In Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Eivor's settlement Ravensthorpe is located in Mercia.
Ravensthorpe is the Viking settlement that Eivor establishes in England after leaving Norway. It serves as the campaign's main home base, where the player builds facilities, meets allies, starts quests, and develops relationships with nearby regions. The settlement is positioned in the Mercian part of the game's version of ninth-century England.
Mercia was one of the major Anglo-Saxon kingdoms of early medieval England. In Valhalla's political storyline, its territories and alliances are connected to struggles involving other kingdoms, including Wessex, Northumbria, and East Anglia. Because the game allows travel across a large map, players may associate Ravensthorpe with the whole of England rather than its specific kingdom.
Valhalla is set mainly in the late ninth century, during Viking expansion into England. The game uses historical kingdoms and rulers as a framework, while Eivor, Ravensthorpe, and the Assassin-Templar conflict belong to the series' fictional narrative.
