England is the main historical region of Eivor's English campaign in Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
The game follows Eivor, a Viking raider who leaves Norway and leads a Norse settlement in England during the ninth century. The English map is divided into territories associated with historical kingdoms and political powers, including Wessex, Mercia, East Anglia, and Northumbria. Eivor forms alliances and confronts rival forces across these areas.
Norway is playable and important to Eivor's backstory, but it is not the main setting of the English campaign. Ireland appears in the downloadable expansion Wrath of the Druids, while Scotland is not the principal setting of Valhalla's main story.
The game combines Viking-era history with the series' fictional Assassin and Templar conflict. In Valhalla, the hidden order is known as the Hidden Ones, and its enemies are represented by the Order of the Ancients.
