Paris is the main setting of Arno Dorian's adventure in Assassin's Creed Unity.
Released in 2014, Unity takes place during the French Revolution, beginning in 1789 and continuing through the upheavals that followed. Arno Dorian becomes involved with the Parisian Assassins while investigating the death of his adoptive father and confronting the rival Templar order.
The game recreates recognizable locations including Notre-Dame, the Louvre, and the Bastille area. Versailles appears in the opening and later sequences, but Paris is the central open-world environment. Unity also introduced cooperative missions for up to four players, making its dense Parisian setting especially important to the game's design and presentation.
