Paris is central to the story of Assassin’s Creed Unity.
Assassin’s Creed Unity follows Arno Dorian during the French Revolution, with Paris serving as the game’s main open-world environment. Players visit landmarks such as Notre-Dame, the Louvre, and the Bastille while Arno investigates political and Templar activity during the upheaval.
The game begins partly in Versailles before moving into Paris, which explains why Versailles is sometimes offered as an alternative answer. Unity was released in 2014 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows. Its setting is distinct from Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, which takes place mainly in London during the Industrial Revolution.
