In Assassin's Creed Unity, what is the name of Arno Dorian's adoptive father?

In Assassin's Creed Unity, Arno Dorian's adoptive father is François de la Serre.

François is the Grand Master of the French Templar Order when Arno is taken into his household after the death of Arno's biological father, Charles Dorian. Arno grows up alongside Élise de la Serre, François's daughter, and their relationship becomes central to the game's story.

François's murder at the beginning of the narrative sets Arno on the path toward the Assassin Brotherhood. The event also connects the two rival factions through Arno's personal ties to Élise. This makes François more than a background historical figure: his death is the emotional catalyst for the campaign.

Players may confuse François with Germain de la Serre, who is a later Templar Grand Master and a different member of the family. Charles Dorian is Arno's biological father, while François is the man who raises him after Charles dies.
