In Assassin's Creed Syndicate, which twin leads the London Assassin Brotherhood?

The story behind the answer

Jacob Frye leads the London Assassin Brotherhood in Assassin's Creed Syndicate.

Set in London in 1868, Syndicate follows twins Jacob and Evie Frye as they challenge Templar control during the Industrial Revolution. Jacob is the more openly confrontational twin and forms the Rooks, a street gang that helps the Assassins reclaim districts from rival forces. Evie is more focused on stealth, investigation, and locating Pieces of Eden.

Although Jacob is the game's principal playable lead in many missions, Syndicate allows players to switch between the twins. Each has distinct skill trees and equipment, and some missions are designed specifically for one character. Their contrasting methods create the game's central partnership rather than making them interchangeable versions of the same hero.

The twins work with historical figures including Alexander Graham Bell, Charles Dickens, and Florence Nightingale. Jacob's grandson is Lydia Frye, who appears in the World War I sequence included in the game.
