In Assassin's Creed Origins, which Egyptian Medjay is the main playable character?
Answer
Bayek of Siwa
Answer
Bayek of Siwa
Bayek of Siwa is the main playable character in Assassin's Creed Origins. He is a Medjay, a protector and law enforcer in ancient Egypt, whose personal quest helps lead to the formation of the Hidden Ones.
The game begins in 49 BCE and follows Bayek and his wife, Aya, as they investigate a conspiracy connected to the death of their son, Khemu. Their investigation brings them into conflict with members of the Order of the Ancients, the organization that precedes the Templar Order.
Aya is also playable in selected sequences and is an important co-founder of the Hidden Ones, but she is not the game's principal protagonist. Khemu is their son and does not fill the playable lead role.
Origins functions as a historical prequel to the broader Assassin's Creed mythology. It depicts the early evolution of the Assassin brotherhood rather than an already-established medieval order.
