The playable Medjay from Siwa in Assassin's Creed Origins is Bayek.
Bayek is a protector of the Siwa region in Ptolemaic Egypt and serves as the game’s main protagonist. His personal journey begins after a violent tragedy involving his family and develops into a larger struggle against the hidden forces manipulating Egypt’s political order. The story presents the origins of the organization that later becomes the Assassin Brotherhood.
Bayek’s wife, Aya, is also central to the plot and is playable in selected sequences. Their partnership connects local events in Egypt with political developments involving Cleopatra and Julius Caesar. Bayek’s eagle, Senu, supports reconnaissance and is an important gameplay companion, but Senu is not the human protagonist.
The title Origins refers to the fictional beginnings of the Assassins, not to Bayek being the first person ever to resist tyranny. The game was released in 2017 and shifted the series toward a larger role-playing structure with levels, equipment, and a broad Egyptian map.
