In Assassin's Creed Liberation, which female Assassin is the main playable character?
Answer
Aveline de Grandpré
Answer
Aveline de Grandpré
Aveline de Grandpré is the main playable character in Assassin's Creed Liberation.
Aveline is a French-African Assassin active in eighteenth-century Louisiana. She is the daughter of a wealthy French merchant and a formerly enslaved woman, giving her a personal connection to the social divisions and colonial power structures depicted in the game.
Liberation introduces a distinctive identity system. Aveline can adopt the identities of a lady, an Assassin, or a slave, and each identity changes her abilities, equipment, social access, and visibility. The mechanic reflects how she navigates New Orleans and surrounding regions while investigating Templar activity and opposing oppression.
Aveline first appeared in the PlayStation Vita title Assassin's Creed III: Liberation, released in 2012. She later became available on other platforms. She is sometimes confused with Aya, Evie, or Shao Jun, but those Assassins belong to different historical settings and games.
