In Assassin’s Creed II, what is the name of the secret society that Ezio Auditore joins?

In Assassin’s Creed II, Ezio Auditore joins the Assassin Brotherhood.

Ezio’s path to the Brotherhood begins after his father and brothers are executed in Florence. Seeking the truth and justice, Ezio is drawn into a centuries-old conflict between the Assassins and the Templar Order. His training eventually brings him under the guidance of experienced Assassins, including his uncle Mario Auditore.

The Brotherhood is a secret organization dedicated to protecting human freedom and opposing the Templars’ attempts to impose control. Its members use stealth, investigation, and targeted strikes rather than functioning as a conventional army.

The phrase “Assassin Brotherhood” identifies the organization in the game, while “Assassins” is the shorter common form. The Medici are important Florentine allies, and the Thieves Guild is one of several faction groups Ezio can work with, but neither is the society he joins.
