In Assassin's Creed II, the Auditore family’s most famous Assassin is Ezio.
Ezio Auditore da Firenze is the central playable character of Assassin's Creed II, released in 2009. The story follows his transformation from a young Florentine nobleman into a trained Assassin after his family is betrayed and executed.
Ezio’s story continues in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood and Assassin's Creed: Revelations, forming a trilogy within the wider series. His adventures span Renaissance Italy, Rome, and Constantinople, and introduce major historical figures such as Leonardo da Vinci, Niccolò Machiavelli, and Lorenzo de' Medici.
A common mix-up is confusing Ezio with Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad, the protagonist of the first game, or with Desmond Miles, the modern-day character who experiences Ezio’s memories through the Animus.
