In Advanced Warfare, an exoskeleton powered the suit’s Exo movements, including boost and sky jump.
The exoskeleton is the game’s signature piece of future military technology. It gives soldiers enhanced mobility and strength, allowing players to boost vertically, dash in different directions and leap far higher than in earlier Call of Duty games. These abilities change how players traverse levels and approach combat.
Advanced Warfare presents the technology through the character Jack Mitchell, a former U.S. Marine who joins the private military company Atlas after losing an arm. Atlas equips him with an advanced exoskeleton, making the suit central to both the story and the gameplay.
The answer is sometimes confused with a jetpack, but the game treats the mobility system as part of the Exoskeleton. A grappling hook is also a separate piece of equipment, while the tactical rig is not the source of the boost, dash or sky-jump abilities. The game was the first Call of Duty title to make these powered-movement mechanics a central feature.
