In 2022, which country’s singles chart placed Taylor Swift’s “august” at number seven?

In 2022, Taylor Swift’s “august” reached number seven on the Philippines singles chart.

The result came during a renewed period of attention around the song’s title month. “August” had already charted in several countries after Folklore’s release, but its recurring seasonal streaming pattern helped it reappear on charts after its original release cycle.

That 2022 chart result should not be confused with other Southeast Asian peaks. The song reached number 11 in Malaysia and number 12 in Singapore when it first charted, while its 2022 Indonesian chart appearance peaked at number 17.

The Philippines ranking is therefore a specific later-chart achievement, not the song’s original global peak. It also demonstrates how the annual August trend can produce new chart activity well after a song’s debut album campaign.
