In 2021, LinkedIn launched a mode for content creators called what?
Answer
Creator Mode
Answer
Creator Mode
In 2021, LinkedIn launched a content-creator mode called Creator Mode.
Creator Mode was designed for members who regularly publish posts, articles, videos, livestreams, or other professional content. It changed a profile’s emphasis from one-to-one networking toward audience building: the Follow button became more prominent than Connect, while the Featured and Activity sections moved higher on the profile.
Members could also display hashtags representing their main topics, such as design, leadership, or marketing. This helped visitors quickly understand what a creator discussed and helped LinkedIn organize content around professional interests. Creator Mode was not the same as LinkedIn Live, Creator Studio, or a separate publishing application; it was a profile setting with creator-focused tools and presentation.
LinkedIn later changed the way Creator Mode worked and removed its on/off toggle in 2024, but the original 2021 launch name remains Creator Mode.
