The 2026 US Open tennis tournament offered $108 million in total player compensation.
That figure covered the tournament’s overall player compensation package rather than the prize money for only one singles champion. It included payments across the singles, doubles, mixed doubles, qualifying and other eligible draws.
The 2026 total was described as a record package for tennis and represented a 21% increase from the 2025 US Open. The increase reflected the continuing growth of prize money and player payments at major tournaments.
Total compensation is therefore a different statistic from a singles winner’s prize. A player can receive money for progressing through several rounds, while doubles teams divide their winnings between partners.
