Elena Rybakina defeated Aryna Sabalenka 6-4, 5-7, 6-2 in the 2026 US Open women’s singles final.
The three-set result delivered Rybakina’s first US Open singles championship. It was also her third Grand Slam singles title, after Wimbledon in 2022 and the Australian Open earlier in 2026.
Sabalenka entered the match as the two-time defending champion and was seeking a third consecutive New York title. She extended the contest by taking the second set, but Rybakina broke away decisively in the final set.
The final continued a major rivalry between the two players. Rybakina had also defeated Sabalenka in the 2026 Australian Open final, making the two hard-court Grand Slam finals especially notable.
