All 16 tracks from Taylor Swift’s Folklore debuted simultaneously on the Billboard Hot 100.
That result followed the album’s surprise release on July 24, 2020. Folklore’s standard edition contained 16 songs, including “august,” and the entire track list entered the U.S. singles chart in the same week. The achievement demonstrated the scale of listener interest in the album despite its unusual release strategy.
Three Folklore songs reached the Hot 100’s top 10: “cardigan,” “the 1,” and “exile,” featuring Bon Iver. “cardigan” reached number one, while “august” entered at number 23. These positions explain why the song’s own chart peak is not the same as the number of simultaneous album entries.
The 16-track figure refers to Folklore’s Hot 100 debuts, not the number of songs Swift has released overall or the number of tracks on the album’s later deluxe edition. The album’s complete standard track list is the relevant set.
